No, it isn’t.

A neuropsychological evaluation can only be conducted by a neuropsychologist. It typically includes medical and cognitive tests to evaluate things such as IQ, memory, processing speeds, learning styles, brain injuries, etc.

A neurodiversity-affirming autism assessment focuses on identifying autism specifically. As a licensed psychotherapist I am qualified and authorized to assess and diagnose autism, as well as other conditions in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM).

If you are planning to apply for government benefits, such as Social Security Disability, you will need a neuropsychological evaluation.

If you are wanting school or work accommodations, documentation requirements vary based on each entity. Although my diagnoses and recommendations have been accepted by many, I advise that you speak with your specific institution or employer to ask what they require before scheduling an assessment with me.
